Dr. Jones received her Doctor of Osteopathy from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies in Molecular Biology at Grove City College. While at Grove City College, Dr. Jones traveled to Papua New Guinea on a medical mission trip and it was on this trip she experienced the joy of helping people solve their medical problems for the first time.
After graduation from osteopathic school, Dr. Jones came on active duty with the United States Army completing her internship and family medicine residency at Dewitt Army Community Hospital, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She was then assigned to the Grafenwoehr Army Health Clinic in Germany where she served as Medical Director for one year prior to deploying to Iraq for 15 months. After completing her active duty service, Dr. Jones returned to Northern Virginia with her husband and infant daughter.
Dr. Jones began working part-time in urgent care for Kaiser Permanente in order to dedicate time to raising their child and studying nutrition. She discovered the root cause of the fatigue and skin problems she was experiencing was poor digestive health which started during her deployment to Iraq. Dr. Jones recovered her own health and decided it was time to help others do the same through her practice Holistic Health at Home. Her mission became to provide a healthy environment for America’s children to grow up in, including her two young daughters.
